STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM

by Aileen Belmonte
Halter Dress c/o MISSGUIDED

When I first laid eyes on this dress, the first thing that popped into my head was strawberry ice cream. Doesn't it come in the perfect shade of light pink, that would make you crave for your favorite dessert? I do love this color because it's simply easy on the eyes. It's not too bold, not too bright, but very clean, and very feminine. It would be a good alternative to wearing white, on days when you'd want to exude a young and fresh feel, with a dash of color.

Hi guys! Forgive my inability to keep up a conversation today, but I gotta keep this post short and sweet. If the hair doesn't give it away, this post is part of my long list of backlog files. Apologies as well for wearing this shade of blue for two posts in a row. I hope you aren't tired of it yet! This wonderful piece is a trademark style from IN LOVE WITH FASHION. PASTEL PLASTICS

by Aileen Belmonte

BAYO Cami Top
PVC Midi Skirt c/o MISSGUIDED
VINTAGE Tote Bag
AMISCO Heels

Who would've known that a fabric as hard and as heavy as PVC would look so pretty in a delicate baby blue hue? This midi skirt from MISSGUIDED is the perfect centerpiece for a different kind of daytime chic. It comes in a variety of colors as well, ranging from pastels, to neutrals, to bold neons. Be warned though, it will make that squeaky car-seat sound...a forgivable price for a skirt as gorgeous as this!

I paired my skirt with this lightweight, dusty blue cami from BAYO. Some people may complain about choosing pastel-on-pastel, but I personally enjoyed the relaxed mood of this color scheme. While I will agree that this skirt may deserve to stand out more, I'll just have to save that for next time. Maybe a structured white top or knit sweater would be a good alternative. What do you think? Would you let this skirt do the talking? Would you wear it with even louder colors? I'd love to hear your ideas, so please share them with me with your comments!
